With several promising discussions, ranging from equipment supply to turnkey plant solutions, with clients in Zambia, turnkey crushing and quarrying solutions company Gold Rock Projects anticipates key deals materialising before year-end, with installations and commissioning planned for early 2026.
“We have seen a steady rise in enquiries particularly for our crushing and screening solutions,” says Gold Rock Projects executive director Michael Marsay.
The company’s current operations involve supplying modular and mobile front-end crushing equipment to mines across the Copperbelt and North-Western province.
“Strategically, we’re focused on building stronger in-country partnerships, expanding our support footprint and laying the groundwork for a permanent presence to better serve clients in Zambia and neighbouring markets like the Democratic Republic of Congo [DRC],” adds Marsay.
A dedicated three-member team from Gold Rock South Africa will travel to Zambia for a one-week engagement project this month. The trip’s primary goal is to deepen relationships with existing clients, meet new prospective clients and assess opportunities for local collaboration.
“Key engagements include site visits, technical consultations and strategic discussions around long-term support and supply with potential local partners.”
Gold Rock’s expansion strategy includes increasing stock availability in Zambia, decreasing lead times, enhancing after-sales support and identifying local partners.
This approach not only strengthens the company’s Zambian footprint but also positions it to support operations, such as in the DRC, where logistical efficiency and regional proximity are critical, states Marsay.
Establishing a local branch is a medium- term goal for the company; however, in the interim, it will continue to build strong local partnerships and explore co-location opportunities with trusted agents.
“Our aim is to ensure consistent support and responsiveness across Zambia and neighbouring regions,” he adds.

Gold Rock serves the copper and cobalt mining sectors, with growing interest from manganese and aggregate producers.
With the sustained growth of Zambia, the downstream opportunities in infrastructure development present a “great opportunity to become one of the go-to original-equipment manufacturers for crushing and screening equipment”, says Marsay.
“We primarily work with openpit and small- to medium-scale mines. Our supply to these clients includes equipment such as jaw crushers, cone crushers, screens, conveyors and complete modular plants.”
To ensure uptime, Gold Rock has a robust spare parts strategy and offers remote technical support to Zambian clients, with plans to establish local service hubs through targeted collaboration with local partners.
