A combination of new and old technologies continues to cement weighing equipment solutions supplier Autotech Weighing Systems’ position as a preferred weighing systems provider to the South African surface mining sector.

The weighing systems on offer from the company include a new excavator scale launched in April and dynamic on-board weighing equipment and data handling systems – Tamtron.

Autotech’s on-board weighing instruments improve operational efficiency and productivity by reducing load errors, reports Autotech Weighing Systems technical salesperson Kyle Fourie.

Using these specialised devices ensures accurate loading, preventing overloading or underloading, and reduces the risk of any load issues.

Importantly, correct loading supports proper vehicle performance, decreases the likelihood of breakdowns as a result of overloading, and helps maintain mining safety and operational standards.

“This accuracy also minimises safety penalties and can improve overall production output.”

User-Friendly

Autotech’s Tamtron instruments are user-friendly to all operators, says Fourie, adding that the company also provides additional services such as a cloud-based server for real time data transfer – WNexus.

Tamtron also offers enterprise resource planning (ERP) integration, making the information effectively accessible and more streamlined.

“Using WNexus will assist with collected data being stored on the cloud-based server and giving users a live dashboard and advanced reporting,” he says.

Further, data can also be integrated directly into all customer ERP systems, thereby ensuring improved information transfer and a lower likelihood of human error.

“This means all data throughout the entire business process, from loading and production through to costing, will be transparent and avoid any typical delays,” says Fourie.

Autotech, he says, is unique because the company prioritises clients by ensuring each client “receives only the best” when it comes to sales, service and repairs from the Autotech team.
